I’ve uploaded the photos from Saturday’s softball game, Carmi vs North Posey Co.

The game quickly became a “Pink Out” as everyone was encouraged to wear pink for breast cancer awareness and to honor Tara Glover who has been battling with cancer herself and who is no stranger to Carmi Ladies Sports.  The event took a somber note as Tara was not able to make it due to a setback that put her into the hospital but although she could not attend in body she was there in spirit.  The game started with a very touching and moving statement by Coach Conner who explained that Tara’s jersey and number was going to be retired.  He also mentioned how Tara encouraged the girls to “Play with Purpose” and that she bought all the girls shirts with that very statement.

I’m sure Tara is proud of the Ladies Softball team in the way that they “Played With Purpose” that day!

Good Job Ladies!!
