Photographed the season opening High School Baseball between Carmi and Fairfield on Saturday, the 16^th, held on Carmi’s newly renovated field.

I heard a lot of good compliments on the facility as I was milling about.  Charlie Rankin was honored with a plaque for his countless hours of hard work and dedication to the “Eckerle Project”.  I heard Charlie say, as he was being presented with the plaque, “Boy, I sure didn’t expect this!”

This was a first for me, photographing baseball, and I must say I found it somewhat challenging.  The biggest challenge was the weather!   Started off being a very nice day but that soon changed…felt more like Football weather than Baseball weather to me!

I can say this will not be my last baseball game…look forward to photographing more and getting more field action shots in the future.

Thank you for looking and please share the photos with your friends and family!
