You can see the photos here – http://www.jbakerphotos.com/p671438799 Fawn Behind the House 08/13/2013Was sitting, editing photos, when I heard Debbie call for me from the back of the house. I finished up what I was working on while she called for me a couple more times. I went to see what she was so excited about, looked out of the kitchen window and couldn't believe it, there was a fawn in the backyard! We've lived here since around 2000 and have seen the occasional deer, fox, coyote, skunk, snake and far TOO MANY squirrels but never have we ever seen a fawn. I hurried to get my camera, mount a lens and back to get some photos of it. I tried to slip out of the back door on the porch and took this photo.
I tried to get closer but spooked it and it ran into the neighbor's yard.
I followed it and caught in the field behind the neighbor's house.
I took several shots, while it played then it began to come back into the neighbor's yard only to disappear into the corn field.
